young martial arts students

At AG Martial Arts, we believe martial arts should be open to everyone. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where all young people and families can take part, learn, and thrive.

Our Commitment

We welcome and support all participants regardless of:
- Age
- Disability or additional needs
- Gender or gender identity
- Race, ethnicity, or nationality
- Religion or belief
- Sexual orientation
- Family or financial background
Everyone has the right to be treated fairly, with dignity and respect.

What This Means in Practice
Inclusive sessions:
We adapt our martial arts classes to suit different needs and abilities, including running SEND-friendly sessions.
Fair access: We offer subsidised places and transport support to reduce barriers for families from low-income backgrounds.
Trained staff: All instructors and volunteers are DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained, and committed to upholding these values.
Positive environment: We actively promote respect, teamwork, and belonging inside and outside of the dojo.

Reporting and Concerns
If you ever feel that you, your child, or someone else has not been treated fairly, please speak to one of our instructors or contact our safeguarding lead. We take all concerns seriously and will act quickly to put things right.
