Careers at AGMA
Join a growing martial arts school where coaching is about more than technique. We look for people who can help students feel confident, safe and excited to train.
Why work with AG Martial Arts?
AG Martial Arts runs family-friendly martial arts and kickboxing classes across the South Coast and beyond. Our team includes head instructors, assistant coaches, junior leaders, venue support and operational roles that help classes run smoothly every week.
We are especially interested in people who are reliable, positive with children, confident communicating with parents and committed to maintaining high standards in every venue.
Family-first culture
Work with students, parents and instructors who care about the atmosphere in class.
Coach development
Build your teaching skills through mentoring, feedback and clear class standards.
Progression pathway
Grow from assistant coach to instructor, head instructor or operational support.
Meaningful work
Help children and adults build confidence, discipline, fitness and belonging.
Roles we are interested in
We're currently looking for people in three main roles. Each one suits a different stage of your coaching journey.
Assistant Instructor
Support the lead instructor during classes - helping students with technique, keeping the class running smoothly and being a friendly face for beginners. Ideal if you're newer to coaching and want to learn alongside experienced instructors.
Instructor
Lead and run classes at one or more of our venues. You'll deliver the AG syllabus, manage the class, and work directly with students and parents. Suits confident, experienced martial artists who love teaching.
Club Owner
Partner with AG Martial Arts to build a community in your local area. You'll grow and run a club with our support, systems and brand behind you. Best suited to ambitious instructors who want to lead a venue or area.
What we look for
You do not need to be the loudest person in the room. The best AGMA team members are calm, consistent and encouraging. They understand that a nervous beginner, a parent asking questions and a confident senior student all need different types of support.
- Reliability and professionalism
- Strong communication with families
- A positive, patient approach with children and teens
- Commitment to safeguarding and safe coaching practice
- A willingness to learn the AG Martial Arts class structure
Current opportunities and speculative applications
We may not always have a specific vacancy listed, but we are happy to hear from strong applicants. Send your CV, your location, your martial arts or coaching background, and a short note about why you would like to work with AG Martial Arts to careers@agmartialarts.co.uk.
