Advanced Grading
Non-refundable Fees: By making payment and attending the advanced grading session, students acknowledge that the fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome.
Notification of Results: Parents or guardians will be informed of grading results via a telephone call, especially in cases of failure.
Late Fee Policy: Payments made less than two weeks prior to the grading date may incur a late fee.
Punctuality Requirement: Arriving more than 5 minutes late will result in automatic failure.
Uniform Requirement: Students must wear the official AG Martial Arts uniform for grading; failure to do so will result in automatic failure.
Announcement of Results: Grading results may be announced up to one month after the session.
Grading Discretion: The examiners have full discretion regarding the details of grading results; AG Martial Arts is not obliged to provide detailed feedback.
No Objection Clause: The decision of the examiners is final and non-negotiable.
Disclosure of Pre-existing Injuries: Students must inform instructors of any pre-existing injuries prior to participating in grading.
Acknowledgement of Risks: Students recognise the inherent risks of injury in martial arts.
Liability for Injuries: AG Martial Arts is not liable for injuries sustained during grading not caused by the club’s negligence.
Emergency Procedures: Established emergency procedures will be followed in the event of an injury.
Behaviour and Conduct: High standards of behaviour and conduct are expected; misconduct may lead to disqualification.
Adherence to Instructions: Students must follow all instructions given by examiners during grading.
Right to Modify Terms: AG Martial Arts reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions, with changes communicated in a timely manner.
Data Protection
Collection of Personal Data: AG Martial Arts collects personal data, including names, contact info, and health-related data, for communication, safety, and management purposes.
Purpose and Use of Data: Data is used for membership, emergency contacts, and relevant communications.
Data Sharing and Disclosure: Shared only with our direct debit provider. No third-party sharing without consent unless legally required.
Data Storage and Security: Stored in GDPR-compliant systems with strong security practices.
Members’ Rights Over Data: Members can access, update, or request deletion of their personal data.
Consent and Acknowledgement: By signing up, members consent to data usage as outlined.
GDPR Compliance: We comply fully with GDPR, ensuring lawful processing and data protection.
Refunds Policy
Membership Cancellation and Refunds:Cancellations take effect at month-end.Refunds apply only to unused future sessions.
Event-Related Refunds:Event bookings are non-refundable unless a student is told they’re not ready — then a full refund is issued.
Class Packages:Non-refundable but transferable.Missed sessions due to illness can be made up.
Processing of Refunds:Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days.
Method of Refund:Via the original payment method.
Discretionary Refunds:All refunds are subject to the discretion of AG Martial Arts.
Sparring
Equipment Requirements:Required: headgear, gloves, shin/foot pads, and groin guard. All must meet club standards.
Communication of Requirements:Instructions shared via text/WhatsApp for clarity and record-keeping.
Safety and Supervision:Always instructor-supervised.First-aid-trained staff present. Parents may observe the first month.
Participation Criteria:Minimum 6 months of training required.Sparring intensity tailored to student readiness.
Insurance and Liability:Covered by club insurance.Members accept responsibility for any damages.
Non-Compliance:Breach of gear/safety rules may lead to temporary suspension from sparring.
1-Month Class Launch Offer
Introduction:Applies to new class launch offers at new locations.
Offer Details:Unlimited classes for one month from first session.Fixed fee, paid in advance.Class schedule subject to change.
Eligibility:Open to new and existing students.Must be fit for the intended class.
Payment:Paid before first class.Non-refundable and non-transferable.
Attendance:No refunds/extensions for missed sessions.
Health and Safety:Must follow club guidelines.Inform instructors of any health concerns.
Conduct:Respectful behaviour required.Access may be revoked for misconduct.
Limitation of Liability:AG Martial Arts is not liable for injury or property loss.
Changes to Terms:Terms may change without prior notice.
Acceptance:Participating in the offer means you accept these terms.
